The Hyper-Wave Decoder is the ultimate scanning device, while scanning any ufo orders it detects it lets you know the ufo type, crew race and the mission.
You only need one at the base, and you can dismantel any other radar types, since these are now redundant. They also pick up every UFO that enters its scanning radius.
