If you like this "Funding Nations Only" approach, try "1 Mission X-COM", described on my talk page. It's a more hardline version of this, based on the premise that X-COM only is able to intercept a single UFO. The only challenge that isn't explicitly in 1 mission X-COM that is in your 'funding nations only' mission is the "No Reload" rule, which can be voluntarily adhered to. + | : Huh that's really cool too! I like the fact that it's a whole game - and a tough one at that - but might take only 1 day to play it. You should put a link/entry on [[Making_the_Game_Harder]]. Indeed some day somebody ought to give that page a better link to Tequila's stuff, and spruce it up some. I mean really... should we even have "don't use exploits" on a page about how to make the game harder? That should be a footnote. "Don't let yourself use nukes" (Blasters) is also not so helpful. I could swear I've seen a dozen (dozens?) of ingenious ways to challenge yourself, maybe it was on XCOMUFO. You might also put your Turn Order stuff somewhere, like maybe a page under Game Mechanics on the wiki main page. - [[User:MikeTheRed|MikeTheRed]] 19:46, 10 October 2007 (PDT) |
