The ADVENT Drone is a surveillance unit for ADVENT that patrols the area for any unusual activities.

The ADVENT Drone serves as their surveillance unit, patroling the area for any resistance to ADVENT and are equipped with tasers to incapactiate enemies. The Drones are not a threatening unit in any way but can become an incredible nuisance. Equipped with their tasers, they can do minor damage but cause our units to become disoriented or a close range electric shock that can heavily stun soldiers. In addition to this utility they are equipped with high level sensors that have an easy time detecting soldiers which will make it difficult to scout areas without being caught. Drones are also equipped with a repair beam that can heal their mechancial allies making any efforts in weakening them possibly wasted.

Unlike most units, Drones can be seen wandering on their own scouting the area which can catch our troops off guard if we are not paying attention to any hidden corners.

Repair a friendly mechanical unit. 1-turn cooldown.
Stunner
* This ability has +30 aim to hit.
Stun an adjacent unit for 2 turns. 3-turn Cooldown.

Tips

  • Like most mechanical enemies, they do not have much defense making them easier targets but are more durable by having generally more HP and armor than bio enemies. It is recommended to have some sort of shredding or piercing to more easily deal with these targets.
  • Unlike most units, Drones can be seen wandering on their own patroling the area creating potentially difficult to scout. It is best to be careful of corners or other unknown areas as they can potentially carry Drones and revealing your squad. Unless the scout, like a shinobi with Covert, has detection reduction, it is best to not use your main scout when starting out in concealment in order to not lose their concealment as well for future scouting.
  • Drones will aim to use their Stunner ability if possible so to avoid the heavy disable, attempt to move away from movement range in order to prevent them from entering in range. While this ability does require to be in melee range, it is not a melee ability and thus cover can still apply provided there is an actual cover position that the target has. Other ways to deal with this stun is to have abilities such as Revival Protocol that can cure the effect.
