Taser
A short range non-lethal weapon, the Taser is available to purchase from the start of the conflict.
Intended as a close range alternative to the Stun Rod or the Flashbang grenade, the Taser is intended to stun and subdue hostile targets, keeping them alive for further interrogation. The taser has a hard range firing limit of 5 tiles, beyond 5 tiles the weapon cannot hit a target.
The taser offers a way to stun aliens at range without having to cover the longer distance to reach melee range, while it is still just as risky and not as safe as throwing Flashbang grenades from a long distance, however a Taser operator can fire off more stun shots than a grenade user can.

Firing Time Unit Notes
The following lists how many times a soldier can fire the gun by shot type continuously in any given round and the remaining percentage of any left over TUs that cannot be spent as a shot.
